Complex Claims

York understands that some complicated claims with greater-than-normal loss potential call for handling by our most experienced, most highly skilled adjusters. We refer those claims to our unique, in-house Complex Claims division, three dedicated units that specialize in bringing the most challenging claims to the most cost-effective outcomes.

York maintains two auto/casualty Complex Claims units and one devoted to property. These units are staffed by professionals who average 25 years of claims experience and who exhibit not only technical expertise, but also skill in negotiation, customer service and project management. Our Complex Claims professionals are also available to our field adjusters for assistance with investigation, evaluation and oversight.

These units handle category losses, high exposure cases with a total incurred in excess of $100,000 and claims having coverage issues. The teams also provide expert handling of claims in some of the most challenging areas, including:
